Algorithmic Disobedience

What is disobedience in a world shaped by algorithms?
If individuals are legible only as aggregates of data, as products of pattern and probability, how can we push back? What are strategies that help us ask how we want these systems to be in our lives? This workshop looks to recent work by artists and journalists for tactics of algorithmic disobedience.

Eccentric Interfaces

This workshop explores how design can shift perceptions of natural systems and other lifeforms. How can interfaces and practices be reconceived to attend to more-than-only human perspectives and agendas? What does design, that privileges our interconnectedness with the ‘non-human’ look like?
